Recap from Crestview Speedway

After another late start, caused by some issues with the scoring system, racing finally got under way first up was the "Barnyard," or rather as they are really called, the Fairground Bombers. This race showed some difficulties for most drivers. Sam Sr. would have a rear end poblem with the bushings popping out under cornering load off turn 4. Scott would show up and fill in driving duties in a 3rd Barbose entry. Bryan would take the #21 Warrior Run Racing as a hired driver as well. Something clicked with Mike T in the middle of the race. After almost everyone else told him he was overdriving the car, a few smooth laps registered as faster on the lap counter. Too bad this was his final heat.
The second race of the evening was the Scalextric Dallara INDY cars. This is a stock class with slip on silicone tires. The challange with the INDY cars over the Bombers is the pit stops for fuel. The open wheel design requires the driver to stop with the side pod of the car over the pit sensor. If the driver stops to early, or late, the sensor may not be covered by any part of the car, which will mandate another lap around to try it again. Bill W. and Scott would sit out this race, though they would stay to help marshal. Sam Sr's Mobile 1 and Sam Jr's Coca-Coal Dallaras would get tangled up exiting turn 2 eventually coming to a stop on the back stretch. The safety trucks would get them seperated, and racing continued.

I apologize to everyone, as I was unable to get the results form this evening.

Aslo, a reminder, KRP is unable to host this week, February 16th, and S&S Speedway has graciously stepped up to take over the race night. We are still racing the same Racer Sideways Group 5 and LMP 18k classes. The schedule page has been updated to reflect the location change.
